台湾から来ました。
今、秋田の国際教養大学に留学中です。

Hi, I am Andy from Taiwan.
I am now studying Japanese at Akita International University.

秋田に来てから、私は友達と秋田で色々な場所に行きました。
学校の近くの神社や、千秋公園や日本庭園や、たくさん歴史的なところに行きました。
金色の稲田、秋の紅葉や冬の銀世界も満喫しました。
とても楽しかったです。

Since I arrived Akita, I had traveled to various places with friends.
We visited several Japanese shrines from the magnificent one to the small one hidden in a forest.
We also enjoyed the different colors of seasons in Akita: the golden rice field in late summer, red leaves in autumn and the glittering silver snow in winter.
It was a lot of fun that I feel like I had fallen in love with Akita.

私の専攻は心理学です。
教育や文学も興味を持っています。
私の趣味は、ゆっくり散歩することやお茶を飲むことです。
友達は、「おじいさんみたいな趣味だなあ」と言いました。
最近は、マージャンというゲームが好きです。
秋田にホームステイする時、初めてマージャンをして、おじいさんに勝ったよ！

My major is psychology, and I am also into education and literature.
If you are interested in democratic education, I am willing to talk about different possibilities of education.
I like drinking all kinds of tea (Black tea, milk tea, green tea, earl grey tea...) and take a leisurely walk in sunny days.
My friends sometimes say that I look like an elder.
By the way, I really like playing mahjong and Uno cards.
If you love mahjong also, we should really meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have tried home-stay four times in Akita.
And each time I had a wonderful time with the host family especially children.
I played various games with children such as snow sledding, snow ball fight, building snow house in winter.
We also played Uno, hide and seek, even just paper scissor stone with the younger ones.
I love the creativity and fun-seeking nature with children.

With the parents of the family, I love looking at the old album and photos with them.
It always amazed me to hear all the stories of their life and how they learned to become "parents" while raising children.
I love hearing the stories of others because I think how people interpret their life influences his/her personality, attitude and value.

All the heart-warming experiences support me to do couch-surfing -- another kind of home-stay.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote my first 8,000 words novel in Chinese when I was 12.
And have been writing my own Chinese modern prose since then.
Hopefully one day I will publish a book.

I like doing handcraft.
I can do eraser Hanko, handmade story book and cards.
If you are interested in these simple works, I am happy to bring the materials with me to you!

To Learn:
I like things that people have passion in.
Please show me what you love to do even though it is the most trivial thing.
