Hello!

My name is Andy. I was born in the subtropical island of Taiwan, but now I live in California. I work as a wildlife geneticist for California’s Department of Fish & Wildlife. I love to be outside: hike, camp, backpack, and climb rocks! I love that my work helps me conserve the biodiversity that I love so much. This summer, I will be joining Purdue University to pursue my PhD and study how animals are adapting to rising temperatures in the ocean!

I appreciate spontaneity and allowing life to happen. One time, my friends and I accidentally drove to 6 different states in a weekend! I believe that you get to know a place by getting to know its people.

I come a family of artists. My grandpa actually opened the first art supply store in Southern Taiwan! In a way, I still get to be apart of my artsy family when I take photos. When I am not doing science, I work as a part-time photographer. I love to meet and capture people from all walks of life. It’s also realllllly nice to capture my travels!
