I'm a gay guy from the North of England now living in Thailand as a TEFL Teacher. My house is in a remote area on the outskirts of the city - 45 minutes from BKK airport in a taxi or 15 minutes from Chachoengsao train station on a motorbike taxi (100 baht) I'm happy to accept guests for one night as you pass through (maybe whilst driving down to Pattaya) or for a few nights as part of a bigger trip. Multiple guests is fine too - although I don't have much bedding materials (I've recently moved into the house)
I love life and have lived, worked, volunteered or visited countless countries over the years. I have no intention of returning to the UK and I'm, consequently, open minded to making friends anywhere and meeting as many people as possible whenever I travel (...I could end up living in your city next)
I'm confident but introverted and love having long conversations over a bottle of red wine in my yard. I love writing, politics, TV and film, business, following big sporting events, fitness and socialising/dining. I would love nothing more than to have a conveyor belt of guests each weekend, turning up with ingredients or wine, and us spending an evening talking about anything and everything.
I don't smoke, nor do drugs but come from a rough northern English council estate - so I'm not one to judge. (Obviously nothing in my home please).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used this when I was a teenager and it helped me see parts of America and the Middle East. Not sure why I fell off the grid with it but I plan to see different parts of Thailand in the coming couple of months so I'm looking for hosts. (Later in the year / early 2020 I'll be going to Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and The Maldives.) I love travelling.
I'm now listing my space as a possible place for guests as a means to meet more travellers whilst I work here.

Music, Movies, and Books
I appreciate most movies and types of music - definitely love uplifting dance, trance and old school classics though. My favourite film of all time has to be Pay It Forward; an absolute must see for anyone who loves the concept of Couchsurfing! I've never been a fan of novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived and volunteered in some incredibly remote locations. Genuinely can't specify a specific moment; life continues to get better and experiences continue to exceed those that have passed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've spent much of my adult life on the road and have made a living from my Global Amigo blog for five years now. I'd love to help other travellers find their feet, nurture their passion and/or see how they can find ways to support themselves on the road.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, a listening ear, proof reading services, business start up advice, travel tips, ideas on volunteer opportunities, nice wine, sarcasm / witty humour, political debate, a fab night out and practical help - cleaning / decorating / studying etc.
