Interests

I love learning about different cultures. I've been volunteering with a foreign exchange student organization called AFS (http://www.intercultura.it/) (http://www.afsusa.org/ )ever since I participated in one of their youth programs to Italy back in 2007. As a volunteer, I work with students from all over the world and thoroughly enjoy learning about cultures that are different from my own. I like taking students out to eat, to the movies, to concerts...anything that gives them a taste of American culture. It is because of my time spent with all of these students that my curiosity and desire to travel has multiplied over the years.

My favorite season is summer because I love to go swimming. During the summer I love being outdoors, eating watermelon, bike riding, swimming, or just going on evening strolls.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite type of music is alternative rock music like the Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon. I also like music in Spanish and Italian.
