About Me
Hi, Im Andy, 25
Grew up in a small village in the UK. I left school age 16, completed an apprenticeship (3-4 years vocational study) as a plant engineer (excavators, dump trucks).
Usually like to travel alone, but sometimes company is nice. I have been travelling on and off since 2014? The years seem to blend once you get older. I'm the only one in my family to leave for extended periods of time. Except one crazy Uncle who backs me all the way.
I'm a biiiiig motorcycle fan, Ive been all over the world to watch racing and sometimes when I'm stuck at Calais at 2am on a cold Monday morning and have to be at work for 8, I sometimes ask myself the question. But yes, it's always worth it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To see how different people live.
Interests
I used to race off road, but a broken bone too many put an end to that. I've been all over Western Europe, and one day, I hope to ride all the way through Africa to Cape Town and back again.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite film: The Departed.
Favourite book: Burmese Days - George Orwell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ridden across Burma, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam on 2 wheels.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a native English speaker, so I could always help you learn, never be afraid to ask. Other than that, this is an area I fall short in compared to some travellers. I could always teach you how to weld or rebuild an engine 😂?
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good laugh. An insight into the life of a blue collar worker and of course, a welcoming stay at my place if you're ever in the area.
