About Me
Midwesterner, born and raised, that's always felt most at home in NYC (only while visiting though...). Fascinated by folks from all walks of life, as well as wine and chocolates from all parts of the world. Artful living is key: writing, dancing, drawing (even when it's awful).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Want to commit and invest in seeing more of the world. My time abroad in South Africa was the most informative time of my life and don't want to forget how important experiencing new places, people, and things are//believe diversity of experience is the spice of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I was a showtune kid but cut my teeth on Adele, Daft Punk, and Alt-J in college and now enjoy a wide range. Tune-Yards are at the top, as would be The Beatles, and Nina Simone.
Love movies, tending away from Blockbusters nowadays, but always appreciate a couple hours of escape. Recently watched and recommend: Suspiria, BlackKklansman, Crimes of Grindelwald (if you like beautiful effects and Harry Potter), Love Streams, The Tale.
Currently finishing The Sparsholt Affair. Pachinko, Asymmetry and The Flamethrowers are recent faves. Also love comics, mostly non-Marvel and -DC stuff: Image and Fantagraphics published.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Attended AfrikaBurn in South Africa while studying in Cape Town--and road tripped through Namibia. Best time of my life.
