Hi my name is Andy from Taiwan. I was born and raised in Tainan, which locates in the south part of Taiwan. Used to be our capital hundreds of years ago, it's a city full of history and culture, also famous of its cheap and delicious food. If you guys have a chance to come to my home town, I'm very welling to show you around. In here you can really take your time to experience the unique kindness and passion of Taiwanese.
My dream is to travel around the world, making new friends and one day meet them in their own country. So in September 2016 I decided to go working holiday for one year to save some money. I chose Australia as my first stop for my journey, spending most of my time traveling and working in the east coast. The five-month stay on Hamilton island was the best part of my working holiday cause I made a lot of friends from different countries. Besides, I've also been to Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle and Melbourne, which is my favorite city in Australia ( if not mentioning its weather in winter).
I'll leave Australia on this September and start traveling around the world. So if someday you see me on the road in your country, please don't be shy,say Hi to me, and I'll give you a big smile and enthusiastic greeting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and make friends from all over the world, also try to learn English and speak more fluently. Recently since I'm still traveling, I can host people who is going to visit my country, However, I'll be able to let travelers stay in my place next January after I come back to Taiwan.
Everyone has their own stories to tell, and they can always be inspiring. That's the one I would like to know and share.

Interests

I love exercising.
I used to play baseball when I was in Uni.
I've learned surfing in Taiwan, still quite a novice though.
In Melbourne I joined some classes for boxing. It's a really tiring exercise but trust me you will love the feeling when you're punching haha.
I did food delivering on bike in Melbourne as well. It's a good way to discover a new city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Haven't done any amazing things yet, but I'll try skydiving in New Zealand. However I was one of a volunteers of Lentil as Anything, which I'm really proud of it and glad to participate in the lovely community.
Well maybe come working holiday in Australia is I think, cause it's my first time travel alone.
