Overview
About Me
I'm a 28 year old who's ready to experience more than what is immediately surrounding me. Worked in retail management for the last 10.5 years. Looking to start learning the better way to travel and explore the world; to absorb and learn from the world.
Beginning a trip on 1 December 2016 to Australia. Staying a few weeks in Melbourne then intend to head to Sydney and Brisbane and settle in these areas to work for a bit before wanting to continue towards Tazmania, Perth, Adelaide.
Goal is to get to Thailand for Songkran 15-17 April 2017. After that everything is up in the air! Asia, Europe and Spain are on the short list.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having the ability to be better immersed in the people and culture of where I am traveling to. I consider myself to be a fun and entertaining person who desires to enrich other peoples' lives while they enrich mine own.
Interests
I love to be social and have a good time with like-minded people. I enjoy dancing, drinking, trying new foods, attempting to learn other languages, nature/outdoors but also exploring big cities. Advance public transit systems get me excited!
I'm a big Disneyland nut - living in Southern California allows me to visit often - usually weekly. Some people consider it a problem. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love all electronic music - EDM, trance, house, dubstep, trap, etc. If it's generally classified as electronic I probably will like it. I also enjoy some top 40, Latin music (salsa, raggaeton, etc.) and instrumental music, especially involving strings - piano, violin, etc. Random musical fact: A talented pipe organist can take me to my knees even though I am not religious.
I can read music and have played piano and handbells as a kid.
Movies: Anything that can make me laugh is valued higher than terror. I don't like gore or horror. Comedy and action are my preferences.
Books: Haven't really clicked with any books since my pre-teen years with Harry Potter. Also enjoyed The Golden Compass.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hopefully through my travels I'll be able to add something to this box - but as of right now feels too much like bragging to put anything in here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn any language I stumble upon. I love conversing with anyone who also values and prioritizes environmental responsibility.
What I Can Share with Hosts
