ABOUT ME

I love exploring creative ideas/working on creative projects. I'm fun and outgoing, pensive and introspective.

I enjoy being goofy and light-hearted. Spending time with and learning from people is important to me.

Interests

I love music and the process of exploring music as a creative outlet. I spend a ton of my time listening to, appreciating, and playing music, and going out to see live music. I play drums in Boston (www.bananaphonetic.com) and also write my own material.

Traveling around and being outside has always been important to me. I love soaking in new experiences, meeting new people, and taking on new adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Sistine Chapel in Rome. I had been really looking forward to it as the highlight of a trip I took across Europe for three weeks, but was completely awestruck when I finally was able to experience it. Even though there were scores of tourists (you could barely move), my friend and I found a seat on one of the benches in the chapel, and were able to slowly take it all in. The entire chapel was absolutely incredible, but I was particularly taken aback by the Last Judgement. I stared at it for a while, taking in all of the motion and intensity. It seemed to be really painful and challenging. I had never looked at a piece of art for so long and been so intrigued.

Visiting the Ostia Ruins outside of Rome. When I went there with a friend, there was barely anyone around, and the grounds were huge. We split ways and wandered around unsupervised, giving us the freedom to roam with our own thoughts and explore/climb around. You could still make out storehouses, baths, apartments - it was amazing to imagine what life was like for this ancient society. I spent about an hour sitting on top of an old bath house watching the sun set. It was beautiful and fascinating.
