ABOUT ME

I'm the kind of person who really doesn't enjoy writing all about himself! This may be brief but it'll be honest. Originally from bonnie Scotland, I'm currently travelling around the world in an effort to break out of the mundane middle management life I found myself in at 21. I've been happily travelling with my wonderful partner Clair for over a year now having brand new experiences almost every day. Clair and I are both fun, energetic and friendly while at the same time polite, respectful and kind people.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I only get one chance to. I'm not an "you only live once" person who has to do everything no matter the cost, I want to make it my own life and be happy with my choices.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only recently had my first CS experience, surfing in San Francisco, it was a great experience and has really shown me how well CS can work. I hope to find some more places to stay while im travelling home. when I reach Edinburgh I would love to meet people with a passion for seeing my city and be able to accomodate them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whilst living in Edinburgh my couch was regularly occupied by friends from across the country and my flatmates old friends from Austrlia, while never having used CS before I've always enjoyed meeting new people and learning from their experiences.

Interests

Travelling obvioulsy, I want to live everywhere at once, not just visit but live. I know I don't have enough time to do it but that doesn't mean I can't try. Film, literature, music and art; I really enjoy the work of artists in all fields but I won't spend time going into personal tastes right now. I'm always amazed by constuction and mechanics, in both the vision and ability of man to create, I plan to study engineering when I get home. It's really simple but I also really like cooking, I'm useless in a kitchen but but I still really enjoy it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy such a range of all movies, music and books that it would take too long to list them all. My favourite authors are Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Bret Easton Ellis, fav films are Spinal Tap and Snatch and fav music is by Biffy Clyro.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing!? A bit of a cheap answer but skydiving over Byron Bay in Australia was a mindblowing experience, 14,000 feet of freedom over our beautiful planet. It put a big smile on my face.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm practical skills and special knowledge, I'm yet to master any field although I've won a few pub quizzes. I really don't know what I can offer you because I don't know you yet. Be assured though if there were anything I could offer then I would gladly do so.
