ABOUT ME

I am currently teaching theatre and performance skills at Norwich Theatre Royal. Before that, I was an English as a foreign language working in schools throughout Austria and Germany with a few other interesting countries thrown into the mix.

A couple of years back, I went on a trip around the world. I wanted to do my trip all by land and sea but unfortunately only made it from Estonia to Singapore before I ran out of money. I then spent a while working and travelling in Australia before heading back to the UK via Myanmar.

My passions are music and theatre and I'm an actor and musician. I enjoy living life, meeting new people and new experiences. I also love travelling and seeing new places.

PHILOSOPHY

It sounds a little cheesy but life is for living. Grasp it in both hands and run with it wherever it takes you. My most important task in life is to make people happy whether by saying "Good Morning" to a stranger on the street or performing in front of them. If they smile, I smile.

At the moment I haven't got a house let alone a couch but I am available for a drink and a chat or to show someone around my area. Just send me a message.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is by far one of the most interesting and successful creations for the travelling community. It gives you the chance of never being alone, there is always something happening and CS makes it happen. Never hosted or stayed with anyone but the social aspect has been well utilised!

Interessen

My passion is performing arts, notably music and theatre. I play the Clarinet, Guitar, Saxophone and some other instruments to a lesser level. I am an actor and strive to experience performing styles from around the world.

I'm also interested in technology, science, football and travel (of course).

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music is one of the most important things in my life. Without music I would most likely be rocking in a chair talking to the voices in my head. I'm interested in all sorts of styles and like them if it's good.

I enjoy reading when I can. I've got a keen interest in the theatre and social history, so if anything is available like that, I read it.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I left my home town of Norwich on November 14 2010 and embarked on an overland journey across the world which took me through Estonia, Russia, Mongolia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore. Unfortunately and despite my best efforts, money ran dry and I had to fly from Singapore to Australia where I have been working to fund my next travels.

Such memorable experiences such as the Russian winter, staying in a Ger in the -40c Mongolian wilderness, driving around Australia...

Travelling enriches your outlook on the world and its people. Local people with local stories and local issues are those that I enjoy talking too. I enjoy learning about peoples lives and the issues that are most striking to them.
