About Me

CURRENT MISSION

hitch-hike the planet, spread love n laughter all round the toast, add salt n light n ketchup!

ABOUT ME

I have always liked meeting people from different places and cultures, and am very open and a good listener.
Am currently in Bournemouth on the South Coast of England, but not sure how long for...
Before I lived in Germany, Colombia, Turkey and in Spain, where I learnt a lot about myself and grew so much. I also became a better communicator and more in touch with my feelings, more affectionate, and caring.
I love teaching and usually have a great rapport with my students...
(....also trying to learn "Venusian" language at the mo ("men are from mars, women are from venus") but its not easy!!!!)

PHILOSOPHY

Smile, and the world smiles with you! :))

A stranger is likely just a friend you havent met yet!!

Karpe Diem (Seize the day)

"Be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves" Mathew 10:16

Always look on the bright side of life :)

"yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift that is why it's called the present."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am still like a kid in a sweet shop!

I would love to participate more, but have occasionally offered my/our couch, been to meetings, found out and given information and advice, met CSers for coffee, and shown people round, done a road trip... (also a salsa dance course we did in Istanbul was organised with CS guys and gals)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

(see above)
I have stayed on couches before and been so grateful to people for their hospitality, kindness and friendship. It has made me much more hospitable and open as a result! (in addition to making new friends :)
(I also generally pick up hitch-hikers and have hitched myself!)
(my flat in istanbul was a CS house so we often had people staying that had contacted my CS flatmates!)

Interests

listening to music, watching films, badminton and swimming, spanish, reading, meeting for coffee, watching bands, walking on the beach/in the country,on the islands, entertaining via meals/cooking...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Spain was pretty cool, so was living in Turkey! (I have also had brief living experiences in Austria, Germany and Holland, and London too) I am now in South AMerica for the very first time!) WATCH THIS SPACE...

Teach, Learn, Share

we are all students in this life, some are more advanced than others, but we all make mistakes, the important thing is to try and learn from them and keep going...and nobody knows all the answers, even if some think they do!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I can't offer accommodation I may still be able to offer a friendly face, practical help, my services as a local guide/advice giver, etc etc. If it's in Bournemouth I will probably also invite you to come to one of the English conversation clubs which I help to run as it's a great place to meet people from other countries and there's a great buzz at the meetings which are usually attended by between 100 and 200 people every evening.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
