About Me

Hello! I'm an educator, theater artist, and budding radio producer. I like silly-long bike rides, jumping off of things into water, and burritos.

If you're reading this I'm prooobably bicycling through Europe from Athens to Istanbul.

I used couchsurfing last summer for a different bicycle trip and it was such an incredible experience. I made real lasting friendships with many hosts on my trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be traveling in Europe this summer biking. I love getting to know new people from around the world. I've already met and talked with so many fellow travelers and kind hosts. I'm an education nerd. It's the best education.

Hotels and hostels are nice and all, but they're transactional. It might sound corny, but my favorite part of traveling is meeting the people in that new place -even if they themselves are immigrants or transplants. The people make it for me, and couchsurfing is the best way I've found to do it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015 I bicycled from Portland, Maine to Santa Barbara, California. It was a service bike trip with an organization called Bike and Build. Each rider had to raise $4,500 for affordable housing and we built housing for folks along the way. It was a blast.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know mules express a phenomenon known as "hybrid vigor" wherein the hybrid exhibits traits that are greater than the ability of either parent species?
