CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
Something about me? Well, to start, I am extremely outgoing and friendly. I am a people person. I LOVE making new friends and sharing with them my knowledge and experience. If somebody needs my assistance, I will do my best to help. I am very active in my local community in Toronto, Canada. I served as an executive member on many student councils, clubs, and governments. I have great public speaking and communcation skills. I love to talk, talk, and talk! I am currently doing a double degree in history and education. So I have a lot to talk about when it comes to these two fields. I am also a great singer! At least by my own standard. Enough said, I am looking forward to meeting more friends on CS!
PHILOSOPHY
Always do the right thing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By hosting as many wonderful CSers as I can! Also promote CS to my friends who don't know about it yet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first joined CS in summer, 2011 when I was doing an internship in Wroclaw, Poland. Since then, I have met so many amazing friends through CS. I traveled to several cities in Eastern Europe after my internship and relied largely on CS for accommodation. In the summer of 2012 I went back to my home city in China. There, I participated in a lot of local CS events. Honestly, CS is one of the best things in my life. It really helps me meet new people and build valuable friendships. I just love the experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once taught in a high school as a student teacher. One of the students in my geography class was, to put it politely, "walking down the wrong path in his life". Everyone around him, even his family, gave up on him. But I believed in him. I believed that he was not a bad kid, and he just needed some guidance and encouragement. So I became his personal tutor and mentor. Not only I spent extra time on helping him with his school work, but I also taught him how to be a good person. He was very grateful of my believing him him. Together, we turned his life around and he became one of the best students in my class. Today, the student is going to university, and we still keep in touch with each other. This is the single proudest moment in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has a story to tell. So I wish to meet and learn from as many people as possible.
