About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get a Trans-Am and run blocker for a truckload of Coors across state lines, preferably accompanied by Sally Field and chased by Jackie Gleason. (I am also aware that hardly anyone under 35 will get this reference)

ABOUT ME

I work as a video editor making commercials and stuff. It's good fun but I know that It's far from the most important job in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

There is nothing in the field of human endeavour that cannot be improved upon by moonwalking out of the room afterwards.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

**If you're contacting me about staying, don't feel you have to write a long message, a couple of lines is fine, I know you're probably writing to multiple hosts and it's a lot to ask to write an essay every time you want to stay somewhere.**

I host a lot more than I travel, so I've only a handful of experiences as someone's guest, I've been hosting for a few years now and so far so good.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is what I hope to get out of it. You can only really find out about a place through meeting people, and you'll remember good friends made a lot more than a photo of a monument or something.
The best people can make the most ordinary place special.

Also, if you're a host, it's kind of like "travelling without travelling", I've met so many people from all over the world and it's a little like meeting people in hostels, only you have your own bed, and you're not in a bunk, and you still have to go to work..

..yeah maybe it's not that much like a hostel, still fun though :)

It's amazed me just how great my guests have been. There has never been an occasion where I wanted someone to leave, it has always been a good experience when someone has stayed. I would consider many of my guests to be friends now. Why didn't I start doing this sooner?

Interests

Football, cycling, I love to read about modern history & politics. Gym & exercise (can you class that as an interest?) spending far more time on video games than I should.
