PHILOSOPHY

People ought to be able to do what makes them happy, as long as it doesn't purposefully, directly and negatively affect other people. We all have a responsibility to everyone else to make the world a better place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of a group of travelers whose members help each other out throughout the world. I would love to host people as I've been hosted and make their visit to my city a good experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had amazing experiences couchsurfing with a friend in Western Europe, meeting some of the nicest people ever. Since then, I've hosted hundreds of people from all over the world and made some really great friends.

COUCHSURFING TIP

Writing something in your request that lets me know you've actually read my profile will increase your chances of staying with me considerably! I could be opening my home up to you, so it's literally the very least you could do. Copy-and-pasting the same basic two-line request a hundred times makes everything seem so impersonal. If writing brief meaningful requests is too much work for you, there's a way around that: check into a hostel or hotel!

I can teach you how to cook, and help you learn English or Mandarin Chinese. I can also teach you how to raise chickens. Anything I can do, I would be more than glad to share with others.
