About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spend my life learning, traveling, reading, and experiencing as much as I can!

ABOUT ME

I'm basically a wanderlusting individual who loves to travel and see different things all over the world. I am going to grad school to get my Master's in Student Development at Seattle University. I love to read and travel and learn new things. I enjoy art, history, museums, hiking, long drives, music, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

I really like the line from Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being": "What can life be worth if the first rehearsal for life is life itself?" Basically, how can we ever know whether we've made the right choice or not since we cannot live this life over to see what would have happened had we chosen something else? If we never know if we are right, then just live life to the fullest doing the things you want to do. That's my philosophy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed up so I haven't participated much yet. I am hoping to couch surf a little bit on my way to Seattle and will be opening up my couch once I arrive!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music and am always looking for suggestions on new artists.

I read a ton and mostly love classics, history books, dystopia books, and anything that just has a plain old good story.

My movie taste tends to fall into the "so bad it's good" category. Though I'd probably watch anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Overall, my most amazing life experience was going on Semester at Sea in 2005. I met many friends, learned many things, and visited many amazing places.

I once won a karaoke contest in Ireland hosted by a drag queen singing "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls with my friends.

I've driven across the country three times, and have almost driven through every single state.

Spending last summer in Peru, working and traveling was one of the best experiences that I have ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I road trip a lot and can honestly say the best bathrooms are in the TA Travel Centers.
