About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Slow climate change with green buildings. Increase peace by meeting people from other countries
ABOUT ME
We live in a new, very small (6 family) cohousing project, White Pine CoHousing (named after the Iriquois tree of peace), that we started 5 years ago. We have a big garden and a modest, very energy efficient solar home. I work helping people make better buildings, from small new or existing homes to larger commercial and institutional buildings. My goal is for buildings to express a loving and nurturing relationship with the earth. I have worked on "net zero" buildings that make as much energy in a year as they use. I love to play guitar and sing folk songs. Carolyn is an artist, craftswoman and educator. She helps students find and pursue their passions for learning and helps them understand other cultures.
Note that our house is 4 miles from public transportation -- you will need to either have a car or be a very committed hiker to stay here!
PHILOSOPHY
To make the best of our circumstances, to give back when we receive, to teach what we know, to always be learning, to experience new things while at the same time making a deeper connection to where we are on the planet and to our community and appreciating the routines of life. We live a beautiful peaceful part of the earth and society for which I am very grateful.
