ABOUT ME

I'm an experimental thinker from Manchester going it alone here in Berlin and I've met some truly inspiring people here in the city. I've traveled to Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and over Europe, France, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Italy... and met some amazing people, eaten wonderful foods, and smelled colourful smells and seen lucid sights and took it all in! I'm open minded, empathetic, helpful, clean and respectful. I allow each person their space and enjoy feeling comfortable and at ease. I like to have conversations and exchange ideas, in an environment with food, nice lighting, good people, nice drinks and long conversations. I'm security conscious, a non-smoker, tidy and i like to cook :)

PHILOSOPHY

There are many philosophies that ebb and flow as you flourish and grow.. each of them are equally important to the individual's sense of ongoing self.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a while ago and really enjoyed it and now i'd like to offer regular couchsurfing events at my venue Spud Bencer for other members of the community to get to know each other in Berlin, find a host and offer up your couch if it's free.

I'm looking to meet some open, interesting and dynamic people for conversations, meals, discussions and inspiration.

I've been in Berlin for a few years, and traversed the sprawls, the hideouts and the secret bars reading books, drinking, writing, singing and being merry. I'd like to meet new people, share ideas and interests and help each other out, be in good company, engage in good times and create memorable and tangible experiences. Share stories and share food :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a trained professional English Teacher i can offer English grammar, language, simple conversation, complex debates and just ... words, if you like :)

The restaurant i spend most of my time writing and being creative, Spud Bencer, at Warschauer strasse. We can go there together and try out some of the really tasty french cuisine, the posh burgers, or even the classic sweets. We have a private bar in the basement, where i host events and parties, community get togethers and live music. We can watch live gigs, cocktails at the private bar, relax on the sofa area upstairs and find out more about the things we know and don't know.. and how we feel about it!

A clean, polite and security conscious guest who enjoys experimental cooking, although is no great cook, but loves to try new soups and seeds and pastes and exotic fruits and herbs and combinations of all three. A non smoker, very quiet at home, a sound comfortable sleeper who is comfortable with others. Careful with other's belongings and like to share and contribute to household foods, toiletries and sundries.

Help and support with odd jobs, shopping, carrying heavy loads (I've moved many times), tidying, re-organising and i'm also a good listener, so i've been told

I'm deeply interested in the creative self, the origins of our identity and the creative spirit. We can have long conversations about current topics, self realised theories, professional stresses, social structures, friends and family, traveling and culture, Novels and books, film, music and the future of music and any other topic we feel rising up in our curiosity.
