These days, I play my cheap keyboard and ride my bike through rural North Carolina. I work at a newspaper. I like walking and biking. Running is tolerable. Sometimes I'm lazy, but I hope I never stop growing and changing.

I'm pretty tall, and I fit in narrow places, like tall skinny closets or slot canyons.

PHILOSOPHY

i have only had the quickest and narrowest glimpse of life. i will never understand everything, but i know that there are many things i will never know, or cannot know at all. but until i'm dead, i'll be alive, so let's roll with that.

A sea of clouds at daybreak in Oregon, caribou in a steep Alaskan valley, and frozen, alpine Carolina sunrises. One time, I led a pack of 10-year-olds up 3,000 vertical feet of the top of the steepest hill ever.
