About Me

CURRENT MISSION

New arrival to the UK! Hanging out in London for the next few months

ABOUT ME

I guess you could say I'm a pretty fun guy to have around! I'm easy to get along with and I love a good chat. I've been backpacking my way from Sydney to London for the last 4 months and am now finally ready to settle for a bit. I have a work visa in the UK for the next 2 years so I plan on basing myself here for a bit and intermittently travelling various regions of Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

While I recognise the importance to acknowledge and respect the past, while also anticipating and planning for the future, I prefer to live the majority of my life living in the moment, allowing time to unfold before my eyes and enjoying every second.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once I get myself sorted with a job and a more permanent place to live I will be more than happy to host couchsurfers, however I am currently staying at a friend's place on a temporary basis. Having spent much of my funds whilst backpacking all over the place, it may be some time before I can afford to rent my own place in London.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am fairly new at this whole official CouchSurfing thing. My main experiences involve staying at friend's places or friends of friends whom I may have met out whilst backpacking - if that counts? I was lucky enough to have some very hospitable friends in Sweden and Italy.

Interests

I love going out for a drink with friends, sharing stories and meeting new people and seeing where the night takes us!
I also enjoy soaking up sunshine whether it's on a sandy beach or reading in a park. Substitute "reading" for "throwing around a frisbee" if the opportunity arises.
When the weather is not so kind I enjoy watching dvds, drinking coffee and staying in touch with friends from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a hugely broad taste in music and with something like 12,000 songs on my ipod it can be hard to define my taste within a few sentences. I will say, however, that I have a particular soft-spot for fairly new cutting-edge sounds that challenge my current musical palate. I also very much enjoy reading thought-provoking books or watching movies that make me laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Let's see... Sunrise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia was pretty cool. So was scuba diving through a shipwreck off Koh Tao in Thailand. Hot air ballooning at sunset in Laos should also get a mention. The list continues but for now, this will do!

Teach, Learn, Share

Aside from being a physiotherapist and having learnt a great deal about the human body, I also have a very keen interest in many scientific topics relating to the world around us. Try me!
