About Me
Hey there! My name is Jociane -but I go for Ane. I lived in Seattle for three years and that’s where I’ve grown love for the outdoors, hiking, camping, skiing… now I’m back to Brazil to pursue my law career. I’m still traveling on weekends and days off.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to share the world, I’m excited to meet so many people and learn from their culture and *food* (it’s always about food!). I hope I can create real connections, make friends and meet amazing and interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
What I mostly listen to is classic rock and indie rock or a variation of those. I am a big fan of The Beatles, Metallica and The Lumineers. My favorite movies are the Star Wars series, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and any cheesy romantic comedy.
I was a big reader while on law school (boring stuff) but now I’m just treating myself with Stephen King style of books. I also love all the Dan Brown ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I woke up with bear scat in front of my tent when I was camping by myself for the first time in Yosemite National Park. I solo hiked the O Circuit in Torres del Paine - Patagonia, 8 days (and then went straight to the hospital because I got a trachea infection - that part was not amazing). Hitchhiked by myself through the Carretera Austral in Chile. Climbed two volcanos in Washington/USA. Saw the northern lights in Alaska at a -25ºC night.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to improve my Spanish and I can teach English and Portuguese.
What I Can Share with Hosts
You’ll learn more about my country than just the soccer and samba (although I can teach you how to dance that). I can share my time and I can give you a hug or just a smile if you need one.
