About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to challenge myself and learn as much as I can
ABOUT ME
I am easy going, friendly, outdoorsy girl who loves to travel and meet new people!
Almost 2 years ago I completely changed my life from working an uninspiring lab job near Boston to working trails for Montana Conservation Corps. Best decision of my life so far.
Life is short so I try and make the most of it.
PHILOSOPHY
Be present. We only have this one life so why not make the most out of every day. So what makes you happy.
Vegetarian, because I'm against the current American meat industry. Frugal living- we don't need as much as the American culture says we do. I try not to buy in (literally) into the consumer culture.
Good times - sleep when you're dead. I love late-night adventures, staying up talking, drinking and having fun with people.
I like being active, not wasting too much time indoors. There is so much to see in the world!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CouchSurfing. Be gentle!
I've traveled around the U.S. quite a bit and couchsurfed once when I first came to Colorado. Now that I am settled in and live with wonderful roommates we'd like to open up our house and our hearts to some couchsurfers!

Music: lately bluegrassy/oldies stuff like Crooked Still, The Devil Makes Three, Punch Brothers and etc. Also The National, Local Natives, Black Keys, Norah Jones, Yeasayer, Tool, Led Zeppelin, NIN, Andrew Bird and sooo much more.
Books: most recently - lots of scientific papers. But also non-fiction. Lots of stuff on sustainability, food ethics, environment, wilderness, traveling, soil science, history of science and so on...
Movies/Shows: Mad Men, The Wire, Arrested Development, Garden State, City of God, documentaries...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I backpack by myself a lot.
I'm proud of leaving my stable, well-paying but uninspiring job in Boston and following an idea of what I wanted to do out to Montana.
