Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and my partner Maris are both from Latvia, we have been in New Zealand for a year now in 2016, moving on to Malaysia,Indonesia and Thailand. It is a whole new world for us, excited to see it and experience it. We would appreciate any help we can receive on our journey in these beautiful, wild countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to America for a hardcore season to do one of the hardest jobs I have ever done - door-to-door selling. Spent 12h each day on a bike with a heavy backpack, met over 70+ people a day for 6 days a week in searing heat, at the peak of summer. Was challenging and fun, but very hard. Makes you evaluate how far you are able to go, how far do your boundaries stretch. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think it is important to give since you receive so much in return, maybe not in material values but in the soul. I am willing to share whatever I can - my company, experience, good humor snd stories if it makes someone feel the better of it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a Salsa dancer as well I know some stretching techinques. I have been dancing for 6 years now, love it and I don't mind sharing it with others.
I know some basics in guitar playing, I can share both my willingness to learn something new and my own knowledge.
I deeply love and cherish my country and its culture. I know several traditional foods and traditions, stories than I am more than happy to share with anyone if they so wish to hear it, since Latvia is such a small, tourist unpopulated country.
