About Me

WOW, it has been 10 years since the last time I used the CS... I even forgot those photos in the profile :D Anyway, I am "a bit" older than the photos... but still have my charm :)

Below is what I wrote 10 years ago.... don't judge me now :)) I will edit later...

CURRENT MISSION

Find a way, or open a way, or GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!

ABOUT ME

Global warming; pollution; corrosion of vitues; starving children of Africa; Paris Hilton, Ozzy Osborn with his wasted life on bloody MTV and WWE and people who are continously watching them; people who hate or kill others for religious reasons (by forgeting that, the only reason that they are in their current religion is the place and time that they were born, but not the superiority of their God!); all the chemicals that they use in food industry: America who is "lecturing" democracy and justice to the world with guns and blood in its hands; international drug industry which is larger than many countries' total dollar value, HIV, wars, prostitution, children labors... etc etc... and in the middle of all, there is a "me" hopefully and persistently looking for a reason to smile and trying to find a beauty in existance... and I guess i am doing okay:)

PHILOSOPHY

Dont mass with me; I know kung-fu, karete, ju-jitsu and other 47 dangerous words!!! ... no just kidding;)
Honestly, I believe there are 2 miracles that we should unleash or discover in a life time. First is the miracle in ourselves and then the miracle of the earth and life. In order to discover them, we need to journey in our heart, as well as on earth simultaneously... Because every step on earth grants us a new perspective in our hearts through life... and 'Carpe Diem' but also be mindful about the future...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be able to meet a person from every country on earth, without visiting every country on earth.

And to have a "home" abroad.. not a house, not a hotel... a home, where I will have a friend who will remember me, and I will remember him/her..

Interests

Every city I visit, I definitely visit the highest cafe or restaurant.

Also guitar (no, actually I lied... not anymore), painting (this one, i gave a long break..), travelling (due to job mostly), martial arts, good books, good people, watching sun sets, science fiction, movies and Japanese (including Kanji)...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Idiocracy, Dead poet Society, V for Vendetta, Patch Adams, Life as a House, Fault in our starts...
Music: Norah Jones, BB King, Armstrong, MFO, Dede Efendi, Foo fighters..
Books: When Nietzche Wept, Existential Psychotherapy and many others from Irvin Yalom; The Alchemist, Shibumi (by Travenian), and some business-managment books...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(some of them done/some others on the list:)))
-Being still VERY close with many of my couchsurfer guests..
-Parachuting..
-Visiting a HUGE architecture like a barrage...
-Let a baby sleep in your arms...
-To kiss a girl that I've met 5 or 10 minutes ago...
-The 'moment' that I learn that I'm a father(this one is not yet and somewhere at the bottom of the list;)..
-To help someone who deadly needs it, without letting him/her know my identity...

Teach, Learn, Share

-There is no knife on chinese, Japanese and most of Asian dinner tables(cuz it is an antagonistic item)
-It is rude to point something or someone with your forefinger in Malaysia and many SE Asian countries. You should use your 'thumb'!!!
-Chinese people need to see the subtitles to understand the lyrics of a 'chinese' song.(because of the tonation of the language dissappears while they are singing, and one word can have 4 different meaning according to how you tonate it..)
- japanese is very easy language to learn for Turkish people, once you get over the script problem. Linguistic logic is almost the same...
- Coming soon...
