Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Kind of shy when it comes to this.. I have not couch surfed yet. I don't want to impose but I have heard nothing but good things about the site and the people opening their homes to distant travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pretty much just starting out.. I am joining mainly because I can not find a place to stay in Gothenburg, Sweden on July 5th. I have hostels booked for every where else during my one month trip around northern Europe. If my experience goes well, I will definitely use it over and over again. And meeting new people that want to experience Austin sounds awesome so my couch will be open for that.

Interests

Painting, Drawing, Art History, Skateboarding, meeting new people, exploring abandoned buildings, Teaching, Reading, Cooking, Eating..

Music, Movies, and Books

Just got done reading Superstud by Paul Feig. Holy crap it's funny. As far as music goes, right now I'm really into Jose Gonzalez. I listen to everything except rap and country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Europe last summer and myself getting through my 1st year of teaching.. Going on my third.

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh, I should be good at this since I am a professional teacher according to my degree and the state of Texas.. At the beginning of the year I always tell my students to make Art they are proud of and to try their best. I relate it to everything they do, not just the art they create in my class. They should find something they love and try their best at what ever it is. Everyone should be proud of what they create for themselves.
