我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I really want to go beyond the tourist experience and talk to people actually living in a place, and consequently understand the country from a local perspective, and compare those insights against my worldviews, and what I know, to grow as a person. I also hope to make friends from around the globe, and maybe one day travel with them! :)

兴趣

I love to read and talk to people! I'm interested in looking at things from a public policy perspective, and see how different countries do things differently. I'm big on the social sciences, and other intellectual conversations, so do hit me up if you're into them too!

For travel, I'm interested in a rounded experience: cities, history and culture, and scenic nature spots. I can't say I'm a big fan of the physical, but once in a while I'm willing to exit my comfort zone and attempt the adventurous, especially with good company.

I can't say I'm a big fan of music, but I'm into such groups like Boys Like Girls, Coldplay, etc

For movies and books, I cut across genres - anything thought-provoking is generally good, if not I like action, sci-fi, romance, history; many many different types.

I'd be delighted if I could just talk about my observations on how things work in different countries, and my various travel experiences. I think I also bring a pretty good mix of East and West, having been raised in Singapore.
