About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello!
This is Mohammed from Jeddah. You know.. Jeddah?

I am a traveller at heart and have always been. I'm interested in languages, good food, and good company, anywhere in the world. I recently moved to the wonderful city of Melbourne!

I love meeting people with an off-colour sense of humour, so if you like Gary Larson cartoons, you could be one of my many soulmates in this world.

I'm half-Swedish, half-Saudi Arabian, but often mistaken for German.

PHILOSOPHY

"He who does not travel does not know the value of men." - Moorish proverb

"Do remember to forget
anger, worry, and regret.
Love while you've got love to give.
Live while you've got life to live"
-Piet Hein

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting people is also surely on the agenda. Not so much hosting these days as I don't have my own place yet, sorry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in East Timor for a year and survived a scorpion sting. The horror..

Teach, Learn, Share

At the very least, I will teach you how to write your name in Arabic. I would also love to share my culture and explain as much as possible about the country I come from and how its tolerance and dense cover of vegetation never make into the news (OK, so I oversell a little..).

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Netherlands, Oman, Qatar, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Yemen
