Overview
About Me
I'm a chindian from Singapore, currently a final year student in our local university. Mostly I dream a lot. And every time my unrelenting, frustratingly unbendable timetable lets me, I try to run to some other place in the world to learn about things I don't see in my textbooks.
I love adventure travels even though I'm possibly the most unfit person around, and I feel like travel is only worth it if you're no spectator.
There's this line I read about and nothing ever struck home as hard as this did-
"How is it possible to feel nostalgia for a world I never knew?" I don't quite get it, but I plan on learning as much as I can about the places I inexplicably feel a pull to.
Oh also, I'm vegetarian, which some of my friends insist is necessary to spell out. Because for the life of them, they cannot understand why. hahaha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it doesn't make me a spectator and it's such a beautiful thing! To meet someone completely unknown to you, but out of the goodness of their hearts, lets you stay with them and teach you things. I only did it once before and
it was one of the best memories I ever had. And I thank the stars because I have that fond memory to look back on.
I would open my house to Couchsurfing, but I currently live with my parents (as is in Singapore) it may be hard, but not completely impossible
Interests
I like a lot of things. If you told me to try something out I'd most likely say yes.
except running for fun. please, no. I don't get running for pleasure.
I've done some martial arts -taekwondo, I love shooting (air rifles/pistols), I like computer games, but also I like to crochet. I love human watching, experiences and learning about other people, urgh there are so many things.

Music, Movies, and Books
well.
Books
The Motorcycle Diaries
Long Way Round
Hearing Birds Fly
Extremely loud and incredibly close
The giving tree

Fantasy novels especially if they've got dragons.
I like science fiction too
Movies: Really, I can't begin.
Music: seriously this too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the one thing I'm proudest of was actually sticking to a promise I made to myself when I was a kid, watching all those documentaries with the family.
To travel when I turn 21, alone. and I did it, I scrimped and save and self funded the trip. and it's still the trip to beat. I went to Tanzania, and I left a part of my heart there, I'm so sure i'll go back one day. (it's quite apt too, because there was this hauntingly beautiful place not far from Dar Es Salaam called Bagamoyo and it means " to leave your heart behind" although the connotations are extremely different"
So I learnt how to jump in feet first, and take a leap of faith in myself, and the people around me, and in that things work out.
And I've never been more richly rewarded by that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure I'll be the best person, but I'll certainly try.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I never really thought about this; except I can share my experiences and vague knowledge of things. I could give my sincerity and respect to your way of life, and my earnest want to learn from you too.
