I am spending 2017 travelling with my boyfriend Dane (29 years). I have been a primary school teacher for 3yrs and Dane works in construction management. We have both taken a year off from our careers to explore the world. We left Brisbane at the end of December and will return this December... or when the money runs out! We are both fairly outgoing people who are always up for a laugh and a good story swap. We are always keen to party, but can't quite bender like we used to.

We looking to meet people from the countries we are visiting and have heard CouchSurfing is the perfect way to get amongst the culture! Hostels have been good to us for the past 5 months, but we would like to try and stay with locals who can give us more of a genuine and memorable experience.

I enjoy all kinds of music, particularly synth pop, bangerz & hip hop. Fav artists are Halsey, The XX, Purity Ring, AllDay, Illy, Eminem & Notorious BIG. Dane is more into rock & punk - The Offspring, A Day to Remember, Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, Blink-182.
Can't go past a good comedy movie... but all time fav's are Wolf of Wall Street, I love you man, Titanic, Gladiator.
Fav book is A Long Walk.

Some highlights from our trip so far this year would be:
- Self-navigated tour on motorbikes through northern Thailand
- Diving in the Maldives
- Hiking original section of the Great Wall of China & camping out overnight
- Exploring the Gobi Desert, Mongolia
- Covered over 8000km on the Trans-Siberian railway
- Staying overnight at Chernobyl & Pripyat nuclear disaster zone
