About Me

I'm a born-and-raised Oregonian, so nature is my first home, and honestly, I am a literal tree-hugger. I have a big family that means the world to me, and consider my friends to be family too! I love connecting with new people, and am super curious about everything. I've also been called an adrenaline junkie - but come on, it's so much more fun that way! I'd choose weird food and sky diving over the familiar any day. )

I’m pretty energetic and like to stay active and explore, but also love having mellow conversations over a cup of tea. I love animals too, and have a big dog at home that does everything with me (so if you have pets that’s awesome!).

Mostly, I just love life and want to experience all it has to offer! I'm trying to find my way in life, or my mission, as I think most people are. I think we're all in this together, and it's just about connecting, sharing, and contributing. My philosophy is that we all have power to make a difference <3

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking into graduate programs and have heard wonderful things about Scandinavia (most recently from my travels in Asia where I met many people from Norway and Sweden). I’d love to explore with locals and try ALL the things :) - eat tons of food, hike, explore, learn about the culture and history, try new activities.

I'm looking to travel and meet people! What better way than staying with locals? I am so interested in couchsurfing as a way to experience a place, and would love to go on adventures with other people - not just by myself.

I am a local of Bend, Oregon, which has amazing nature and adventure all around it, so I know how awesome it is to get the insider take on things:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - a little bit of everything. Folk, electronic, pop, singer/songwriter, rock, alternative.... It can all be good!
Movies - Good Will Hunting, A River Runs Through It, The Moulin Rouge... trying to thing of some more.
Books - The Alchemist, The Surrender Experiment, The Sun Also Rises, Harry Potter (always), and so many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving in Oregon and Scuba diving in Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think we can all teach and learn from each other! I know (some) about literature, philosophy, nutrition + veganism, anthropology.

I'd love to learn about local culture, how to build (I’m learning woodworking now), about sustainable communities + processes, at least two more languages, neuroscience, astronomy, programming and lots more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great conversation + sense of humor ;) I am down for exploring and hiking anywhere. I’ll also help with cooking, beers, US travel tips, and share my love of adventure, culture, books, and experiencing new things!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, France, Indonesia, Myanmar, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Thailand
