Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to say that "strangers are just friends we have not yet met." Thus, I look forward to meeting new people and learning about their culture, their life experiences and general outlook and beliefs.

I have major wanderlust and find that when I cannot travel myself, the next best thing is hosting fellow travelers, in my own home. I have such fascination related to forming human connections, with someone brand new. In my experiences, couchsurfing has been a wonderful way to connect with others passionate about travel, learning new cultures, pushing comfort zones and sharing respect and compassion, which the media would otherwise lead us to believe is no longer core to the human race.

I am not too picky when it comes to music and am currently trying to expand my taste, so I would be interested in hearing your go to playlist. I tend to enjoy most music (big Bon Iver, Dermot Kennedy and Illenium fan) - ranging from EDM, Indie, Pop, Alternative Rock and back.

I want to learn new ways of life and happiness from those around me. Everyone and every place provides new perspectives, some unknown to my imagination. Last year, I unexpectedly had a 14year relationship end. With retrospect, I learned I had been living for others and molded to societal and family/friends expectations. I am now on a journey to find out what makes me happy and who I am at my core. The knowledge I gain from traveling and meeting new people is all a part of this transformative process.

I want to share love, life and knowledge, just as every person and place offers a different perspective I have my own philosophies and talents to share. There are few things I enjoy more, than having fun and helping others around me.
