About Me

Hello! I'm a fun loving, energetic Californian with a passion for traveling and learning about new cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For years and years I never questioned my career path. We fall into a routine. Go to school, study hard to get into a different school, get a job, pay the bills. I've known what I've wanted to do with my life since I was 5 years old. But never in any of my planning, did I ever set apart some time to see the world. Living in Bosnia last year really ignited a passion in me for learning about the world we live in. There's so much I haven't seen, and this gap year is allowing me to truly LIVE for a year, before I head back to the reality of the routine.

Interests

TRAVELING! (but then again that's most people on CS) 🌎
I love learning new things, and trying new foods and drinks- especially coffee! ☕️
I love going out and meeting new people- sharing experiences, stories and making new memories
I'm studying to become a part of the medical student and will jump at the opportunity to help someone

Music, Movies, and Books

I love them all! I've played clarinet for about 11 years now, and because of this I appreciate a lot of classical music. But that doesn't stop me from getting down to the latest hits, as well as Latin music! As far as movies and books go I'll watch/read anything that interests me or is highly recommended- I'm open to anything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 16 I packed up everything and moved abroad to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina by myself for the year. This is what ultimately inspired me to travel abroad yet again for this gap year- the things you learn about yourself and about life when you live abroad are unlike any other experience I've ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

Although I come from America- don't let that fool you. I am 100% Mexican by blood, and because of that I speak fluent Spanish and the desire to dance fills my heart 24/7. I can make authentic Mexican food (given that the country I'm in has the ingredients) and I would love to share my culture, language and way of life with you

What I Can Share with Hosts

A true passion for learning not just what it means to travel to your country- but what it means to live in your country. I want to know more than the popular tourist spots, I want to know about the local way of life. Im not looking for just a bed to sleep in- if that were the case I would get a hotel. Instead I want to connect with my host, to really make the most of my stay and learn the most I can. I'm adventurous and always down to eat something new 24/7, so let's just have a good time!
