Overview
About Me
easy-going, curious, slips easily into deep talk, mostly calm, enjoys the beautiful and pleasant things in life like Indian or mediterranean cuisine, sitting in a café reading, full-bodied red wine, birds' twittering, beautiful gardens, sunsets, touching peaces of music, and of course a big cup of rooibos or black tea with oat milk in the morning ;-)
At the moment, my husband and me live in a 1-bedroom apartment which is really small, so I can't host couchsurfer at the moment. As soon as we will relocate, I will warmly welcome guests again :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had a profile 6 years ago and had some really, really nice couchsurfing experiences, but I was inactive since then and eventually forgot my log-in data. Now my life circumstances changed a bit and I am planning a new trip. So, I thought I could create a new account. I am looking forward to meet new people and share pleasurable and precious encounters :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Besides marrying the best man in the world ;-) , the deepest impressions arose on my journeys, especially while wwoofing, couchsurfing, volunteering. One thing that profoundly impacted me was an internship in Johannesburg in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Africa when I was in my early twenties. They invited me to stay some time in the Alexandra Township and asked me to give the sermon on sunday, which I had never ever done before, let alone in english. Of course I was really excited. That Sunday, about 400 people came to church, cheering and shouting "Amen!" and "Hallelujah" while I was preaching. I knew that I was not really good at public speaking, but they were really gracious and kind with me. Two days later, I visited a Township prison where I should give the same sermon for the prisoners. Again, I didn't know what to expect, but I was really surprised that those prisoners where so enthusiastically singing, clapping, cheering and worshiping that I was carried away by the energy in the room. For me, it was one of the best public-speaking-experiences so far and encouraged me to continue to pursue my path despite all doubts.
