Hi! My name is Angela and I'm a student from the University of Toronto in Canada. I'm a badminton fanatic and I've also competed in the World Championships for dragon boat in 2018 which was a super cool experience! I love hiking too! I'm a (basic/touristy haha) city explorer with a deep love for all things nature. I care about the environment, our waters, the air, and the animals and people that the Earth houses. I would still call myself a travelling newbie but I'm so excited to see what's out there in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I caught the travel bug in August 2017 and I've been itching to travel since! I started my love of travelling by visiting Vancouver, Canada and the next year I did a trip to 5 European countries (half solo)! I'd love to take every opportunity to travel around the world and see all the city and rural sights. I also would love to meet new people and hear what the locals from the cities like to see/do!

I listen to a lot of Korean music actually! BTS is my favourite band but i could list so many that i like!!
I listen to a little rap and hip hop too but mostly into fun pop music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Jan 2016, I went to the Dominican Republic for a medical service trip. It was a great experience and I was there for a week. Everything was so different, from the food, to the people, the government, the language, and the culture but it was all so amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin conversationally so I could teach you the basic greetings and phrases! I always find it fun to teach others because the intonations used in both languages are super tricky. I'd love to learn other languages and I also I want to try different cuisines and experience different cultures.

I'm a Kinesiology student at the University of Toronto. I'm passionate about fitness and overall health and well-being. You can ask me for tips active living, goal setting, nutrition etc.

I was also born and raised in Toronto. I've only done a little travelling outside of Canada but I'm always happy to share about my experiences in my hometown. I know a lot of nice places that even most locals don't know (like parks, hiking trails, restaurants, good ice cream etc.) but what I love about my city is that you can never run out of things to explore!
