About Me
I am born in New Zealand with family from China :)
Masters in Urban Studies and Town Planning at the University of Sheffield
Now based in Auckland
Navigate and orientate without maps
Overly excited about dogs
After teaching English in Colombia for 5 months with AIESEC, I completed my studies in England in Urban Studies and Town Planning. I learnt Spanish in Colombia and was introduced to latin music, I started dancing Salsa/bachata.
I follow my stomach and mind and the idea of good food generally guides where I'd like to visit. Also natural landscapes and well-organised cities but I couldn't choose to be in one or the other for too long I think. I am adamant on preventing food waste, I volunteer with an organisation once a week that saves food that grocery stores about to be thrown in the bin.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The familiarity of just having somebody meet you when you arrive and ask how was your journey is something I appreciate and would love to give back. To be able to have more relaxing days in the company of another (especially when travelling alone)
Couchsurfing not only helps travellers save money, but also spend money wisely by sharing home-cooked meals added with travel experiences, family stories and moral debates. Through insider tips to see those top-rated attractions the most efficient way. I have come to learn that it's usually less about the place and more about the people which is not an experience that can really be curated from TripAdvisor.
