Informazioni generali
Chi sono
Hi, I am Ange, an Aussie, currently living in Melbourne, Australia.
I consider myself to be a friendly, easy going person who can carry on a conversation with just about anyone! I love meeting new people from other countries and am fascinated by the lives of people all around the world.
I am always curious, ask "why?" probably too much and love learning about everything and anything!
I am constantly in awe of the blessed life I lead and filled with gratitude for everything I have and my family and friends who surround me. I want to make the most of everything I have learned and been given.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I am just about to embark on a trip for a few months to Europe and am hoping to visit Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Russia.
I am travelling alone and hoping to meet lots of new people in all the places I visit which is why I'm on Couchsurfing! I'm excited to travel alone as it really opens you up to opportunities you may otherwise miss.
I haven't hosted before as I only share a small apartment with another person who isn't into Couchsurfing and doesn't understand the magic! :)
Interessi
I am really interested in languages and have been learning French for a number of years. I lived in France for my last semester of uni and my French really improved during that time, it was so exciting!
I am into fitness and try to practice yoga a few times a week. Looking after your body is of the utmost importance!
I LOVE DOOFING! (camping and techno/psy in the bush) I'd love to doof all over the world! Invite me along!
I also love learning new vegan recipes and am trying to make the switch from vegetarian to vegan - giving up cheese is the hardest.

Musica, film e libri
I love all music (except screamo metal but could be potentially convinced otherwise - try!) particularly grimy drum & bass, folk, techno, minimal, psy trance, alt rock, ambient and indie.
I love movies that make you think about yourself and life - recently I watched 'Her' and couldn't stop crying!
I like reading a lot of different genres of book, fiction and non-fiction. In the past I have read Charles Dickens, Harry Potter, Wilbur Smith and Tim Winton (great Aussie author). My favourite book is Tess of The D'Ubervilles because it's so beautifully written.
Terry Pratchett is hilarious.
At the moment I'm reading a book about the different uses of various garden herbs - very interesting!
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Watching the sunrise at the beach in my hometown. I was the only one there and it was so peaceful. As the waves crashed over the rocks and everything turned a beautiful shade of pink I teared up thinking about how lucky I am. I am constantly in awe of the ocean and nature's beauty.
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
I'm not interested in just treating my hosts as a 'free hotel', I am using couchsurfing to meet and connect with new people and make new friendships! Life is too short to stick to a boring hotel room :)
I love to cook and can make a delicious vegetarian/vegan dinner for your hospitality.
I am a great knitter and can teach you how to make a sweater or scarf :)
I will tell you all about Australia and how great it is and where you should/shouldn't visit.
Then when you eventually visit my country you can stay with me and I will be your host!
