Overview
About Me
I'm an open-minded, friendly and outgoing university student (at the University of Toronto) who loves to learn about different cultures, meet new people, and explore. I believe that the only way to grow is to push my limits and continually reach outside of my comfort zone as these will be the experiences which are most rewarding. So far, this has been completely and entirely true! I love music, sports, and wine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most of all, I'm looking to connect with people from all different parts of the world and cultures so I can enhance my traveling experience. As someone who is just starting out in my travels, I would love to connect with people who have traveled parts of the world that I have yet to go. It is a way for me to experience another country or city without actually having to be there in person necessarily. I find that pretty amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Although I study film for a living, my taste in movies is not quite like you'd expect. I love Soul Surfer, and of course, Bonnie and Clyde--a classic! I also was a huge fan of the Oscars noms this year, especially Shape of Water. A Quiet Place is one of the best films I've seen in a while, and I’m usually not a fan of 'scary' movies.
TV--The Office (US) is a neverending cycle of laughs, and Mindhunter is cool as heck.
As for music, I love anything 70s, especially Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, and Queen. Jazz is also a top choice. I also can't forget my girl Taylor Swift.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a solo trip to Hawaii this past year where I tried out surfing for the first time ever (which has always been a dream of mine). All of it was planned spontaneously. Hawaii was also my first ever plane ride.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play the piano and guitar. I'm also really big into sports and athletics, so I could teach you how to play volleyball and lacrosse, to name a few :). I would love to learn more French and Spanish, but I'm always open to learning just about anything. I'm always up for a good challenge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring my Canadian hospitality with me (saying sorry for everything) and teach you how to make poutine (its fries with cheese and gravy). I'm also open to trying new things and experiencing the local culture, so I can promise you I'll have an open mind and an optimistic outlook!
