About Me

I'm a French and Russian teacher, working at the University of Budapest. When I travel, I try to do researches in sociolinguistics, multilingualism. I like teaching and learning languages, traveling, discovering new cultures, organising intercultural meetings with my students and my own chidren (I have 3 beautiful, smart and polyglot daughters). My husband is also a linguist, but he is a real language genius (speaks about 15 dead and living languages). My hobbies are singing, playing ukulele, frisbee, volleyball, dancing... I adore dogs, cats, children, I'm interested in psychology and ethology, so I'm very good in playing with them :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

THIS ACADEMIC YEAR WE ARE IN BĂLȚI (MD), WORKING AT THE LOCAL UNIVERSITY, SO WE CAN'T RECEIVE GUESTS IN BUDAPEST.
From the beginning of my adult life I -and later my husband and my chidren - we invited friends, acquaintances or just people we met on the streets (and who often seemed lost) to our house. I remember some interesting experience: a cyclist from Alaska met in a night train from Bratislava to Budapest or a family with 2 children from Syria at the early beginning of the syrian war looking for a refugee camp at the railway station in Budapest... When we leaved abroad, we always invited to us friends from everywhere, so they also could get acquainted with new cities or new countries. I didn't know it in that time, but we did already couchsurfing before this community started his activity on Internet, before even Inet ;).
For me the most important thing during trips is the people I meet with. With years you realize that the buildings are almost the same everywhere, but the people are unique, with amazing lifestories and knowledge to share.
