I have traveled to and lived in many countries. I lived in the mountains of Crete on and off for 9 years, Alaska, Colorado, Maui and the Big Island.I like to do local research into traditional herbal medicine as I am also a Naturopath. My daughter lives in Argentina and my son lives in Japan.I travel to visit them every winter and spend about 5 months away .I like to include visiting a new country each time.This trip I am visiting Colombia for the first time and Japan.I am looking to couch surf in Maui and Big Island for at least one month in each as I have not been able to return to the Islands for 8 years and now it is time.I love to cook and am extremely resourceful having lived in some extreme conditions with only a fire to cook on.I am sociable and able to get along with all age groups .I have stayed in hostels and traveled around the NW USA in my RV. I have traveled in India, Thailand and Egypt. If you check out my Fb page you will see the variety of friends that I have around the world and in all age groups. I prefer to couch surf with like minded people who can think outside of the box.I love and respect animals and nature

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm doing a lot of travelling and visiting my daughter in Argentina and son in Japan en route. I like meeting new, like minded ,free spirited people and love the idea behind couch surfing.I have a lot of travelling experience and am kind, considerate, respectful, resourceful and mix well with all age groups.As a writer I may spend time alone thinking and pondering with my muse in nature. I am very patient and adaptable, good in a crisis and always able to rustle up great food with whatever is available. I love getting to know about local customs and traditions where ever I go, preferring to feel at home rather than vacationing so dont mind helping around with what ever needs doing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music from classical to traditional, Jawaian, Blues, Trance, schmaltzy and have taught kids how to RAP. It depends how I am feeling, emotional or energetic or both, plus the music that people introduce to me.
Similarly I love movies from most genres and encourage movie therapy in my practice as a therapist

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Uriturco last year in 90 degree sunshine with next to no shade. I almost gave up with the summit in sight. It took about 5 hours up and 4.5 down.It was harder than climbing Machu Pichu.
