Oii!

As you can already see my name is Angela and I'm 23 yo. I was born in São Paulo, Brazil.
I lived my whole life there until my 18's and then I moved to another city, Londrina, where I studied for 4 years Portuguese literature. About to end my graduation time, I decided to travel around Europe and see if I really wanted to keep going with my studies at the same place and I'm basically trying to explore around since March of 2018.
Between 2018 and 2019 I went back to Brazil, travelled a bit around my country too, then I went back to Europe, to live in France, where I'm studying French now.
Atm I'm an Aupair in Paris, which means my lifestyle doesn't permit, unfortunately, to host people with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started with the couchsurfing idea late 2017 when I hosted a german girl for 6 weeks in my house, in Londrina. But as soon as she left, I had to focus intensively at my studies so I didn't keep doing with that.
Recently, a friend of mine invited me to go to Netherlands with her using couchsurfing and I feel this is the best way to travel around now...
I've been always travelling around and staying with people I already know but the purpose for me is really get to know different people and perspectives.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Brazilian contemporary poetry but I also have my favourite novel writers: Valter Hugo Mãe, Karl Ove Knausgård, Elena Ferrante (Also always discovering graphic novels and I've been in love with Brecht Evens).
Difficult to say about music because I'm always floating between mixed genres but Florence + the machine, Ólafur Arnalds, Sigur Rós, Lisa Hannigan are always in my list.
Always more than open to listen to something new!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave my secure life in São Paulo to move to Londrina (7h away) was a huge lovely step in my life when I was 18; and since then learning to leave the comfort zone to give new meanings to life

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Portuguese (also because this used to be my job in Brazil, so no better person to do that).
Always happy to talk about Brazilian culture in general like our music, our literature, our cinema.
I'm vegetarian since I was 17 and very into vegan stufd so it's always a pleasure to share meals all over the world. We can always cook or eat outside. I'm a food lover :)
