About Me
About to begin my working holiday visa in Australia! At 30, I barely made the cut but here I am.
If you cannot tell from my photos, I am a bit silly, a bit of a dog lover, a bit impulsive in the sense that I take opportunities when I can and try not to take anything for granted. Yes, I will wake up at 4am to catch a cool sunrise up the mountain! What, that’s in a few hours? No problem, let’s go ~
A quick note: I am quite sensitive to the harsh realities of our world and I am not shy if people are prejudice. I absolutely love banter (I’m from New York, comeannnn) but I don’t tolerate idiots. I hate to even have to write this but if all you want is a date and you’ll get upset and aggressive if I turn you down, please don’t waste my time (or yours! There are dating apps for that). If this seems out of the blue, oh buddy, I have some stories! We can gossip over a coffee 😌
Part of why I love to travel and meet others is to understand different perspectives and customs and quirks - humans can be so very special and when I meet special people, it makes being on this planet an honor. I studied applied anthropology in university for this reason. I still utilize what I learned then into little projects - notes and observations and bigger research ideas. One day I’ll get organized 😇
Typically, if I’m not at work, I’m at the gym (which is usually where I work), getting lost in a book or manga, or doing some fun creative project (that may or may not ever get finished). Or at the library! Libraries are my ride or die. I adore learning and going to community events (NYPL, you will be missed). Or, of course, dreaming about my next travel adventure.
I love to be in motion, be it lifting big weights, dancing, or wandering around a new town with no destination. As such, I have been studying to go to school for physical therapy, though I am currently taking a break from our lovely (👀) US education system. Instead, I’m exploring personal training and rehab; I would love to work with people who want to lift and move but might feel unwelcome in fitness spaces. Let’s be honest, the gate keeping at the gym is fucking REAL! 👎🏼 I want to give people the confidence to move in ways that make them happy, no matter their identity, size, anything!
I love old ps1 games, though I can appreciate modern games of the RPG variety ~ I do not keep a system in my home, the temptation is too sweet. Currently have a less disciplined part of my brain crying to play AC Odyssey 🥲
I really wish I could host people but I have a live-in work position that makes it impossible. One of my biggest dreams is having my own little space where I can host people whenever I please! One day, y’all! I do hope those that have hosted me or people I have connected with through cs reach out to me if they ever want to visit NYC! Come stay with me ~
One last thing: I have found, with time, my coffee taste has become a refined source of both joy and misery. Aka, ya girl lovesssss a nice, dark and smooth roast 🤤 and acidic coffees make me very, very sad. (Especially if I’ve splurged for a $4 cup, ugh) Coffee recommendations are always welcome!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel but money is always tight...and getting to know people is so much more fun anyway! :D
Interests
Learning, reading, dancing, swimming, and being with good people :) training and weight lifting are an important part of my identity but I supplement it with other activities when I’m on the road. Though I do love getting a lift in while traveling too!
Also, dogs are my bread and butter 😍
I love creating! I used to really enjoy painting and writing but the world made me bitter. I’m finally getting back into my art and letting my creative side let loose - be it crochet, woodwork, painting, writing.
If you’ve gotten this far 👏🏼 I edited this right before bed; I take full credit for these ramblings and badly worded sentences (but with a small, sheepish apology to accompany that bravado)
Cheers!

Music, Movies, and Books
Hard to pick and choose! Recently finished The Witcher series and was a huge fan. Anatomy books aside, I love high fantasy and I love me some manga 😂 currently re-reading/watching One Piece.
Lord of the Rings is by far my favorite movie franchise. I will nerd out about LotR lore for hours, so begin this particular convo. with caution 😇
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After college, I decided to go to Brasil for as long as I could. I ended up staying for half a year! I have to thank my many good friends and their amazing families for my success, as well as the kindness of strangers.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yoga, physical therapy, and personal training - run depends on my knees hahahaha perhaps swimming or hiking would be better! I would love to share my lifting and fitness knowledge with you too, of course.
Cooking, general repairs and maintenance (fixed a few sinks and elevators in my time), English and New York ridiculousness.
I think I’m a decent conversationalist over a coffee, too 😌
What I Can Share with Hosts
I go with the flow. I love to help around the house and cook and feel like a family. I love to adventure and explore and have conversations about almost anything (philosophy and metaphysics get 30-45 mins conversation time tops 😂 too many what-ifs and not enough action for my taste)
I’m a very down to earth person and enjoy the little things. I would love to share stories with ye of the cs community 🙂
