I've lived in Tokyo, San Francisco and Leicester in past 6 years, and I've studied History, Psychology, Fashion and Museum Studies. I came back to my hometown, Taipei, in 2013, and I am working in museum now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Though I am back to Taipei but I still want to meet new friends from everywhere. And I really love my hometown, so I want to share good things in Taipei with my friends. I would be glad to be your tour guide if you come visit Taipei:D

Interests

I like to try different lifestyles, see the different scene, and experience different cultures; that's why I've studied in three countries.

I love traveling; it's a way to explore myself and the world. I remember the conversations with friends during trips and they become my treasurable memory. I love walking; walking is a nice way to know a place, to see how people live there and to feel the breath of this city.

I also love design and art, that's why I chose the history of design exhibition as my dissertation theme.

I enjoy meeting new people, I can learn new things from them and I can share interest things with them. Hanging out with friends to exchange ideas and experience something new together makes me happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is really weird and unexplainable that people ask "me" for directions, not only in my hometown but in foreign countries too. (So it makes me wonder what is the reason that people choose me instead of other people?)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love food. I like to cook for/with friends, especially desserts, I love seeing people enjoy my food. When I visited my friends in Paris, I cooked a Chinese dish for them and we talked about cooking and different food cultures.

I like learning languages; a language is a way of representing the world to me. So I am learning Japanese now and I plan to learn Korean in the future.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Though I cannot host you at my home, I can show you around Taipei. Grown up in old Taipei I am familiar with this city. I live around Ximending and Longshan Temple, I know where to eat and go sightseeing. I can introduce some history of Taiwan to you through walking in the city, and you can see how people live here and feel the city texture.
