ABOUT ME

My husband Randy and I met in high school, married soon after graduation (age 17 & 18!) and celebrate our 34th anniv. in Dec 2015. We have two adult kids - daughter and her husband have a 2015 baby girl and thankfully live close by; son and his lady live in Colorado, which is a great place to visit! I think my best friends would say that I am logical, loyal, creative, 'devil's advocate', honest. My daughter would say I can't stand in a line of people and not engage someone in conversation (she hated that when she was in high school, but now she does it too!)

Signed up in June 2010. Have stayed with some wonderful people; haven't hosted many yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've offered our home to racers coming in from out of town, though only a couple times. It is something I would be interested in doing more of in the future. A few years back, our son trained for a marathon with us but left for Boulder, CO to return to school a month before the Portland Marathon in October. He signed up for the Boulder Backroads Marathon the end of September. I surprised him by flying to Denver the night before, couchsurfing at a lovely family's home, and surprising him as he left his apartment to go to the race. It was awesome!

I find amazement in the everyday things. The sunset turning the sky shades of pink... Watching my children when they interact with strangers... Snorkeling... Challenging myself physically...
