ABOUT ME

I am quite an active person and love visiting and experiencing new things. I try to look for and appreciate the beauty of things which perhaps aren't on the tourist map. I really enjoy meeting new people, learning more about their culture, and showing off my wonderful home city of Bristol.

Erm... I just try and be a good friend really... I find that the most satisfying thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had a great time couch surfing in Sweden a few years back. I haven't done it since, mostly because now I have a travel partner (my boyfriend) and we tend to stay in other types of accommodation on holiday. I still love to host or to meet up with people visiting Bristol. The one thing I would suggest is that if you do want to hook up, as much notice as possible should be given please! I get fed up turning requests down when they are made only a day or two in advance. I am a very active person and I plan my time several days in advance usually!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Killers, Amy Macdonald, Adele, Kings of Leon, Joshua Radin, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, The Enemy, Laura Marling, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Take That.

I am not much of a movie buff, but I do like films with a twist, like Usual Suspects. Other films I like off the top of my head are Forest Gump, Ghost, Dead Man's Shoes (Gritty British drama) Moulin Rouge (Ewan is so hot!) Sure there are others, but I don't remember.

Don't read books too often, but I like Jodi Picoult and James Patterson books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helicopter ride over New York, Climbing up and then sliding down waterfalls in Dominican Republic, Climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge, Listening to Amy Macdonald sing Hallelujah Live... brought tears to my eyes.
