Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
eat watermelons up in a treehouse on the moon with the rabbits that live there
ABOUT ME
I'm respectful, friendly and fun. You may find me at weekends wearing face paint and glitter, probably dancing on tiptoes to a live band, reading up on some badass art theory or in bed watching a film.
I reeeeeeally like bubblewrap.
I've realised that travelling to foreign places and getting to know strangers can teach you more about yourself than anything linked to familiarity, and I value those experiences and people.
History of Art and Scandinavian Studies student in London, and I'm currently living in Oslo for my Erasmus year.
PHILOSOPHY
Go on adventures, talk to strangers, learn to truly live.
I insisted to join the boy scouts when I was a small girl because I didn't think it wasn't fair I should be restricted to do anything different to my older bro.
Urban agriculture most become a granted necessity, not just a trendy hobby; protecting the environment must be everyone's business, not greenwashing for businesses.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to make worldwide friends!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in Paris with a friend and on my own in Berlin for a week when I turned 21-such memories!!
Interests
I love love love contemporary art, (especially the current, exciting discussion on ecology and art) so wherever I am, I always try to go to as many exhibitions as possible. Since working in one, I'm more of a fan of the independents and non-profit/artist-run spaces, but pretty open to anything at least once. And this goes for music too I'm constantly in search of live music in the cities I visit.
In my spare time I like to do some art writing, I like photos, and I also enjoy experimental cinema, drumming and playing toy instruments to pretend I'm a musical gnome or something, nature, forests and going for walks, bike rides (wooooooooo!), fountains of gin and tonic, dancing like a punk, face paints, learning new languages, experiencing new cultures, cooking and eating!!

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently loving to bop to The Knife, Deerhoof, HEALTH, My Little Airport, Goat, , Björk, Holy Fuck, James Blake, Iamamiwhoami, Connan Mockasin, Faye Wong, John Talabot ... ALWAYS up for hearing new, experimental, strange treasures via mixtapes
I am a fan of Wong Kar Wai, Tarkovsky and Studio Ghibli and frequently get given lists of films from friends and strangers to watch, so my list of eye pollination enjoyment just gets longer.
Delving into The Vorhh by B. Catling right now, like Tao Lin's Eeeee Eee Eeee, Hito Steyerl's essays, James Lovelock's Gaia Theory is next up!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting lost in Scandinavia last summer, then flying out to Berlin on my own to spend my 21st birthday with friendly strangers and CSers to watch Björk perform :) oooh so beautiful!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently learning Norwegian at uni and can pass on a little, along with my mother tongue Cantonese too! I've inherited part of my parents' excellent skills in Chinese cuisine, and I'm always happy to cook with and for others.
I can also cut hair a little ; )
We can make percussive toy music together.
We can share art gallery trips and bike rides in plentiful scoops daily!
