ABOUT ME

Caring, considerate, thoughtful, tend to put others first. Easy to get on with but also a bit exercise obsessed and slightly extreme when it comes to things like refusing to fly for environmental reasons... however never judgemental of other peoples choices. :-)

Interests

Cycling (and lots of!) especially as a way to travel and see places. Hill walking in beautiful locations and just generally love walking of any kind. Swimming when I can, preferably in a natural setting to avoid chlorinated pools!

Volunteering, I feel uncomfortable with working for money and much prefer doing things I'm passionate about as a volunteer :-) I spent nine months as a residential volunteer with Edinburgh Cyrenians living with young homeless people and other volunteers from accross Europe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A month cycle and wild camping tour of the West coast of Scotland including the Outer Isles, Orkney and Shetland. Highlights: Puffins at Sumburgh head lighthouse, Shetland; and also on Shetland accidentally camping on the cliff edge next to Eshaness lighthouse in foggy and stormy conditions, we couldn't see the drop until the next morning when the fog had cleared!
