ABOUT ME

I am a 27 year old woman who loves learning about others. I am fascinated by other peoples, languages, cultures, customs, etc. I find life fascinating and want to learn all I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that there is something to learn from every person I meet - everyone comes with his/her own story, and that story makes that person unique and special. Each person's individual joys, trials, and in-betweens are moments to be celebrated because they teach, shape, and motivate.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in a Spanish-language conversation meet-up group. I also try to meet new people often, and learn from their experiences and stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never had any experience myself, but I have heard of many experiences from my friends who have done this many times!

I like to listen to music of all genres, watch TV, read books (mostly memoirs), play pop culture trivia games, discuss philosophy, go to wine tastings, try new things, cook, volunteer, and learn!

My favorite movies are kind of dark, though I'm really quite a fun person! I love Girl, Interrupted, Wristcutters: A Love Story, and It's Kind of a Funny Story. I love memoirs, especially ones where the person describes overcoming obstacles in life. My favorite singer is Fiona Apple, though I like most any type of music.

I cannot narrow it down to one amazing thing! I have seen so many amazing things, from my 1 year old goddaughter, to my brother's wedding ceremony, to Pope John Paul II in Rome, to the view of the Umbrian countryside atop my hotel in Assisi...everything is beautiful, if you look at it with the right vision.

I cannot think of anything I want to learn that is particular - I just long to learn so much! I want to learn other customs and cultures. I want to understand why people do what they do - what makes them tick is fascinating to me. I want to learn from others about their inspiration, motivation, and drive. Passion is my main interest.
