About Me
Well since this is couch surfing I'll keep my about me related to my travels!
Couch surfing came to me in 2013 when I was moving to Maui from Denver, Co. We had a night to spare in Washington and was referred to the site by a friend.
It wasn't until February 2017 that I used it again because low and behold I am traveling again! This time I am traveling U.S. with my boyfriend, Izak in a conversion van we built together! So far we've been to Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina. My favorite spot thus far has been Asheville, North Carolina. It's the first place we came across that reminded me of home base!
UPDATE: I am no longer with my boyfriend and doing my own thing as of 11/2019. I am looking to expand my solo travels and also am interested in hosting here in South Lake Tahoe CA
I've always had a passion for traveling and go to a ton of music festivals. Burning man in 2016 was definitely the turning point for me when I decided to sell everything I owned to travel in van. The plan is to travel the states then move over seas. I am hoping to meet many new friends and learn as many new skills and trades along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always had a thing for meeting new people and I find that couch surfing is a great way to meet locals who also share the same interests as well as share knowledge about their area. When I stay with a host I am always interested in the way they live and willing to learn anything they have to share. To me, couch surfing isn't just a free place to stay it's a community.
I've hosted a few travelers back home but not through couch surfing. Mostly through word of mouth or meeting someone hiking or at a concert/bar. I also run a fire spinning group back in Denver where a lot of travelers will come through just to check out the scene.
