One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just recently i had my first real life or death experience, and it was beautiful. I was on a solo hike in Canada. I was hiking straight up a mountain, next to a beautiful waterfall, with a thirty pound pack on my back. The trail was the most difficult and beautiful i had ever experienced. The whole trail i was more climbing than hiking. Two hours in i came to an especially difficult part of the trail, it was straight up and look like a rockslide. I mustered mt courage and began to make my way up. I wasnt long until i was relying on a few viney plants as handholds, and absolutely nothing at all for foot holds. As the mountain got steeper my pack started tipping me backwards.I looked down and realized that i was literally climbing a rockslide that had interupted the trail. It was a long tumble that led straight to the waterfall. I slowly and cautiosly made my way back down, and with a sigh of relief sat down and thanked the world for keeping me a little longer.
